Only your domain is with Network Solutions? That’s a domain connection, not a full store migration. We can identify which work your setup needs. How domains and email work ↓
Ready for a storefront that is easier to improve?
Refresh the shopping experience
Rework mobile layouts, navigation and product presentation around how your customers browse and buy.
Make merchandising more manageable
Build editable templates for the products, content and promotions your team updates regularly.
Connect the tools your business needs
Review suitable marketing, inventory, accounting and fulfillment connections before choosing the setup.
Get a clear plan for the move
Know what can be extracted, what needs rebuilding and what the new store will cost to run before you commit.
Network Solutions ecommerce is already hosted, and depending on your package it can support variations, personalization and customer price levels. So we don’t assume your store is lacking. We compare what you use today with the proposed Shopify setup, and if a move doesn’t suit your business, we’ll say so.
First, we identify the store behind your Network Solutions account
Existing ecommerce control panel
We review the available product, customer and order exports, plus any separate pricing, category or related records, and confirm the fields they actually return.
Website Builder or another setup
We check the particular store tools and the data they make available. Features and export options differ between products and packages.
Only the domain is registered there
A domain registered with Network Solutions can point to a store hosted elsewhere. Then the migration starts from that platform, and the domain is a connection job.
- Ecommerce store
- Website Builder site
- Product exports
- Order exports
- Customer price levels
- Domain registration
- DNS settings
- Email service
- Hosted files & images
- Other add-on services
Why the dashboard matters
- Export options and fields differ between store products
- Package conditions can affect which exports an account can use
- Domain, email and hosting are separate services that may stay active
- A registered domain doesn’t prove the store runs on Network Solutions
An export file is the starting point. We check what it leaves out.
- 1
Inspect
We review real sample exports, compare their fields with what you see in your account and what staff use, and check identifiers and relationships.
- 2
Identify gaps
Product selections and personalization, order line items and customer input, customer details, prices, categories and other required records.
- 3
Assess other sources
Other available exports, authorized account tools, existing integrations or supporting records, and public catalog pages where appropriate.
- 4
Agree the solution
What imports into Shopify, what needs a separate solution, what belongs in an accessible archive and what is unavailable or excluded.
- 5
Validate a sample
Representative products, complex options, customer relationships, and historical order totals and detail, before the full dataset is processed.
| Field | In the sample | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Product name, SKU & price | Present | Import |
| Variation stock | Present | Map to variants |
| Personalization options | Partly | Rebuild & test |
| Customer input on past orders | Not found | Check sources or archive |
| Customer price levels | Separate | Rebuild the rule |
| Order line items & totals | Present | Validate a sample |
Why we check: in a June 2025 Shopify Community discussion, an established Network Solutions merchant described exports that left out important product details and customer input. That won’t be true of every store, which is why we check yours with real samples.
We can’t recover information that isn’t available from an authorized source. Public product pages can help with visible catalog content, but not private customer records, complete order history, hidden prices or balances. We also don’t assume an API route or a package upgrade: we check your actual account first.

Products & catalogProducts, variations, personalization, categories, media 5 areas
| Network Solutions | Where it goes in Shopify | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Products & identifiers | Products, variants and suitable custom fields. | Titles, descriptions, SKUs, identifiers, prices, weights, custom information and formatting. |
| Variations | Agreed variants or another suitable configuration. | Sellable combinations, associated prices, stock, enabled and unavailable choices, and correct product relationships. |
| Personalization | Product inputs, an options app or custom work, with answers on the order. | Required questions, text inputs, paid extras, restrictions and the information passed to fulfillment staff. |
| Categories & manufacturers | Collections, menus, vendor data or agreed fields. | Product membership, hierarchy and navigation. |
| Images, content & files | Shopify media, files and pages. | Main and additional images, information pages, embedded images, documents and links that depend on old services. |
Customers & ordersCustomers, order history, open orders, reviews 4 areas
| Network Solutions | Where it goes in Shopify | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Customers & addresses | Agreed customer records and segmentation. | Duplicates, available consent information and customer grouping. Account access is planned separately. |
| Historical orders | Order history using a suitable method, within an agreed date range. | Line items, customer matching, dates, totals, status mapping, and product selections and customer input where available. |
| Open orders | A transition plan, not just an imported record. | Which system and team handle fulfillment, refunds and customer service. |
| Reviews | A compatible review app, after assessment. | Source access, the fields available and product matching. |
Pricing & business rulesPrice levels, discounts, balances, downloads, custom records 5 areas
| Network Solutions | Where it goes in Shopify | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Customer price levels | Shopify settings, an app or custom work, depending on your plan. | Who receives which price, product-level differences, purchase permissions and sign-in requirements. |
| Discounts | Recreated as Shopify discounts, where supported. | How each rule behaves and how it combines with customer pricing. |
| Gift certificates & balances | A compatible solution, where feasible. | Outstanding balances, redemption and who honors them. A historical import doesn’t recreate them. |
| Downloads & recurring billing | A separate delivery or continuity plan. | File access, continuing customer access, payment provider and customer actions. |
| Custom records | Agreed fields, an archive or an exclusion. | What the business still needs and where staff will find it. |
SEO & storefrontURLs, design, payments, integrations 4 areas
| Network Solutions | Where it goes in Shopify | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| SEO details & old URLs | Agreed metadata and an old-to-new URL map. | Actual URL patterns, query-based links and Shopify’s redirect limitations. |
| Design & templates | A Shopify theme: new, customized or a recreation of agreed elements. | Mobile layouts, navigation and editable sections. Templates don’t install directly. |
| Payments, shipping & tax | Supported providers and the settings you approve. | Eligibility, delivery rules, tax setup and test checkouts. Billing agreements don’t carry over automatically. |
| Connected tools | Supported connectors, or integration work scoped separately. | Inventory, accounting, fulfillment and marketing connections, and which way data flows. |
Existing passwords and saved payment details aren’t assumed to transfer. Downloads, subscriptions, credit, open orders and outstanding balances each need an explicit decision. Every row depends on source access and the agreed scope.
Years of history need more than a record count
Historical orders
Available dates, archived or status-filtered records, line items, totals, product choices and customer-entered instructions. Where some history can’t practically be imported, we agree an accessible archive.
Open orders
We decide which system and team handle fulfillment, refunds and customer service for each open order during the transition.
No surprise emails
Before importing history, we review notifications and connected automations, so old orders don’t trigger new-order messages, marketing flows or fulfillment actions.
Customer accounts
Existing passwords aren’t assumed to transfer. Customer messaging matches the Shopify account setup you choose, which may use email sign-in codes. Customer details are checked for duplicates, addresses and available consent.
A migration team that can also build your Shopify store
Set up a new Shopify theme
We choose and configure a theme around your brand, catalog and customer journey.
Customize a Shopify theme
We adapt templates, product layouts and navigation to how you sell.
Recreate agreed elements of your look
Keep the design details your customers know. We agree the pages and elements that matter and rebuild them for Shopify.
Network Solutions templates don’t install as Shopify themes, so recreating a design is a scoped rebuild, not a template-file transfer. Complex functionality is scoped explicitly.
Shopify Theme Customization
Product templates, navigation and editable content sections designed around your business.

Plan for old links, useful content and the images customers see
- Identify important existing URLs and content
- Map each one to the most relevant Shopify destination
- Preserve useful content and agreed metadata, and review internal links
- Test the redirect approach, with query-based URLs and other exceptions checked individually
- After launch, check indexing controls, sitemap access and agreed tracking, then monitor issues
Images & files we check
- Main product images
- Additional images
- Images inside pages
- Documents & downloads
- Links to old services
- Embedded media
A product page that still loads files from a cancelled account isn’t finished.
We don’t send every old link to the homepage, and a JavaScript redirect on a 404 page isn’t a server-side 301. Rankings can change after any migration; we reduce the avoidable risks, and nobody can honestly guarantee unchanged results.
Example mapping. We inventory your store’s actual URL patterns; query-based links, files and images are checked individually.

Build separately
We prepare the agreed records and validate Shopify while your current store stays live and keeps selling.
Refresh changing records
Just before launch, we bring across the agreed new orders, customers, prices and stock using a supported method.
Switch at a defined cut-off
We agree the cut-off and which store is the source of truth, connect the domain and run the launch checks.
Reconcile late activity
We check for orders or updates that still reached the old store, even if there’s only one, and reconcile the agreed records.
Your catalog during the migration
Product changes need coordinating, just like orders.
- We agree a catalog freeze or a simple change log for the build.
- Prices, stock and orders follow the agreed update plan, so you keep selling.
- New or deleted products and changed options can add work or another import. We tell you upfront if that affects the cost or timing.
- This is a planned launch that reduces disruption, not ongoing two-way syncing or a zero-downtime promise.
Move your store. Keep control of your domain and email.
Separate services we review
- Domain registration
- DNS records
- Storefront hosting
- Email service
- Other connected services
- Ownership & renewals
Connect the domain, no transfer needed
Connecting your domain to Shopify through DNS doesn’t normally require transferring the registration. A registrar transfer is a separate choice.
Protect your email
Shopify hosts your store, not your inboxes. We protect the email-related DNS records, existing inbox services and other connected services when the domain is connected.
Keep the access you still need
Keep exports, backups, source files and historical access until the launch reconciliation is complete.
Don’t cancel your whole Network Solutions account after launch: it may still provide your domain, email or other services. We choose the right connection method for your setup after reviewing it, and we don’t change nameservers without checking what depends on them.
Choose the right help for the whole move
Migration tools can help
A suitable tool can assist with straightforward data transfer, and some providers also offer human support. Where a tool suits your store, we can use it as part of the project. What no import software can do is supply private records that are missing from the available source, which is why discovery comes first.
- CSV imports
- Third-party migration tools
- Custom data preparation
- Managed migration

After the move: how we help clients grow
What our migration clients say
Web commerce pros created a really lovely design for our website. They also changed the layout for our images and updated/resized images so that the site is overall much more attractive. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from customers on the ease of use and the overall look of our site. In addition, we are very grateful to Roy for coming up with a creative solution for allowing customers to easily create their own quotes, which has been very helpful to both our operations and our customers.
Arfat and team were proficient with BigCommerce Page Builder and Shogun to create and modify pages. We successfully completed the migration with their assistance and were happy with their work. We would hire again soon for our next project.

Network Solutions to Shopify migration questions, answered
Getting started
Yes, after we review the actual store system, the available records and your business requirements. That gives a realistic migration scope and shows which features need a separate solution.
If your store runs on Network Solutions ecommerce, it’s a store migration. If only the domain is registered there, you may just need a domain connection; the data migration depends on where your store actually runs.
Network Solutions supports different store products and interfaces, and their export options and data structures can differ. We check your actual setup rather than assume one migration method fits every store.
We compare sample files with the information you need and assess other authorized sources. We explain the gaps and alternatives before agreeing the full migration. Data that isn’t accessible can’t be guaranteed recoverable.
Public pages can help with visible catalog information. They don’t provide private customer records, complete order history, hidden prices or account balances, which need authorized source access.
Not automatically. We check your current export access and practical alternatives before recommending any package change. Provider documentation covers different packages, so one instruction may not apply to your store.
Your store URL, approximate product count, important features and goals. We arrange any deeper access securely after the first review, never through passwords or database uploads on a public form.
Products & pricing
Accessible, agreed records can be mapped to a suitable Shopify setup. We validate combinations, identifiers, prices and quantities using representative products.
We assess the current inputs and charges, agree how they’ll work on Shopify and check that the answers appear on new orders. Recovering personalization on historical orders depends on the source records available.
We review your actual pricing and access rules, then choose a suitable Shopify plan, app or scoped development. Copying a group label alone doesn’t recreate special prices.
Accessible assets can be included in scope. We check product and content images, file links and anything that still relies on old hosting.
Each needs its own assessment of balances, redemption, permissions or billing continuity. Moving products and historical orders doesn’t automatically recreate them.
We can recreate agreed design elements in a Shopify theme, or create a refreshed storefront. Existing templates don’t transfer directly as Shopify themes.
Customers & orders
Agreed, accessible customer details can be imported and checked for duplicates and relationships. We plan the account transition separately from the data transfer.
Existing passwords aren’t assumed to transfer. Customer communication depends on the Shopify account setup you choose, which may use email sign-in codes.
We review the available date range, line items, customer matching and totals. Your scope states which history will be imported and whether some records need an archive instead.
We agree which system and team will fulfill and manage each open order. Importing a history record doesn’t transfer its operational responsibilities.
Not if it’s planned properly. We check the import method, notifications and connected tools, and coordinate the right settings before importing, to avoid unintended messages or automations.
Launch, domain & costs
Generally, yes. We build Shopify separately while your current store trades. The launch plan defines the final update, the switch and how late activity is handled.
We agree a catalog freeze or change log. Significant additions, deletions and option changes may affect the work and the quote.
Usually not. A Network Solutions-registered domain can be connected to Shopify through the appropriate DNS setup. A registrar transfer is a separate decision.
It can if DNS or bundled services are changed without a plan. We review the dependencies and preserve your email setup. Shopify doesn’t host email inboxes.
Only after checking domain registration, email, files, retained records, bundled products and any outstanding migration tasks. You may need to keep some services active.
We plan relevant redirects, metadata and launch checks, but rankings can fluctuate after any migration. Your actual URL patterns and Shopify’s limitations decide the redirect approach.
We quote after reviewing source access, your catalog and history, design, features and integrations. The review is free, and no fixed price or duration is promised before it.
Every migration includes one month of free post-launch migration support within the agreed scope. Ongoing development, store support and marketing can be scoped separately.
