MODA
Luxury baths, basins & bathware
We moved MODA’s bathware store from Magento to Shopify. Its range of baths, basins and accessories now sells on Shopify.
Visit the live storeMove away from maintaining your own Magento application. Shopify looks after its core platform, while apps, integrations and custom work still need care.
Templates and editable sections for the products, pages and promotions your team updates every week.
Review navigation, product discovery, mobile layouts and checkout against the way your customers actually buy.
Compare plan, apps, theme, development, payments and retained systems with your actual Magento setup—not an assumed saving.
Magento and Adobe Commerce are capable platforms, and not every store needs to move. Speed or upkeep problems often come from a particular build, hosting setup or set of customizations. If your current setup fits how you sell, we’ll say so in the review.

| Magento product type | What we review | How we decide the Shopify setup |
|---|---|---|
| Simple & configurable | Parent and child relationships, child SKUs, valid combinations, prices, images and stock, and whether a child also sells on its own. | Usually products with variants. We avoid importing every child as a separate, unrelated product. |
| Grouped | How buyers choose quantities and buy the related standalone items. | A group isn’t automatically one product with variants. We agree a buying layout that keeps each item’s own stock. |
| Bundle | Component choices, required selections, quantities, fixed or calculated prices, stock and fulfillment. | A bundle solution chosen against your rules. Shopify’s bundles aren’t assumed to match every Magento bundle. |
| Virtual & downloadable | Shipping behavior, files, delivery, customer access and existing entitlements. | A delivery plan for the files and access. A product description alone doesn’t recreate a download. |
| Custom options & attributes | Stocked choices, personalization, paid extras, specifications and search or filter data. | Variants, product fields, structured references, an options app or development—each where it fits. |
Test orders run on the private preview store, so nothing reaches your customers or your fulfillment team.

|---|---|---|
| Products, attributes & media | Products, variants, media and suitable custom fields. | Identifiers, parent-child relationships, formatting and representative prices. |

| Store-view content & translations | Agreed languages, markets or separate stores. | Values for each scope and how customers reach them. Not an automatic one-to-one copy. |

| SEO fields & URL rewrites | Agreed metadata, a destination map and tested redirects. | Paths, .html suffixes, store codes, historical redirects and domains. |
| Discounts, gift value, credit & special pricing | A separately agreed replacement or reconciliation. | Outstanding value, rules and how customers are told. |
Existing passwords, saved card details, extension code and every source field aren’t assumed to transfer. Orders, content and module data can need other authorized extraction methods, matched to your actual version and hosting.
For each extension you keep, the decision list records what it does, the data involved, the Shopify solution, any recurring cost, known limitations and the acceptance test.
What we review
What we review
Each part becomes one of
Physical quantities, quantities available to sell, sources, reservations, backorders and external stock systems. We don’t copy a single quantity column without knowing what it means.
We agree Shopify locations and which system owns stock. We decide which system handles fulfillment, partial shipments, returns, refunds and customer service for orders still in progress.
Importing history doesn’t move those responsibilities.Provider compatibility, customer authorization and billing continuity, assessed separately.
Saved card details aren’t promised to transfer. Order history doesn’t recreate recurring billing.Outstanding balances reconciled, then a Shopify solution and customer message agreed. These aren’t ordinary product fields.
Each balance is checked before launch.Existing passwords aren’t assumed to transfer. We plan the message around the chosen Shopify account setup, which may use email sign-in codes. Before importing history, we review notifications and connected automations so old orders don’t send new emails or trigger fulfillment.
A catalog import doesn’t reconnect sales channels. We check feed diagnostics and avoid old and new feeds competing.
We don’t use JavaScript redirects on a 404 page as a substitute for real 301 redirects. Rankings and ad performance can change after any migration; nobody can honestly guarantee unchanged results.
Example mapping. We work from your store’s actual paths; store codes, system paths and filtered URLs are tested individually.
We choose and configure a theme around your brand, catalog and customer journey.
We adapt templates, product layouts and navigation to how you sell.
Keep what your customers know. We agree the pages and details that matter and rebuild them for Shopify.
Magento themes, Hyvä templates, Page Builder layouts and PHP extensions don’t install on Shopify; they’re rebuilt. We don’t promise a pixel-identical copy by default, and complex functionality is scoped explicitly.
Product templates, navigation and editable sections shaped around your brand and catalog.
Explore theme & design →Custom functionality and system connections where native features and suitable apps don’t cover a requirement.
Explore app development →The agreed migration checks for URLs, content and metadata, then ongoing optimization as a separate service.
Explore Shopify SEO →SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, email and other suitable channels to support growth after launch.
Explore ecommerce marketing →Migration is quoted on its own. Redesign, app development and ongoing marketing are added only if you want them, each with its own scope and price.
We inventory the data, product structures, custom functionality, storefronts and integrations, then agree the Shopify setup, scope and costs.
We test complex products, customer pricing, the relevant store views and integrations before processing everything.
We prepare Shopify while Magento keeps trading, reconcile counts and relationships, and review customer and staff journeys with you.
A final update of selected orders, customers, prices and stock, then the domain and integration switch and a check for late orders—even one.
So the switch is planned, not improvised.
This is a planned migration with a defined cut-off, not permanent two-way synchronization between Magento and Shopify. We reduce the risks, but no honest agency promises zero downtime or zero errors.
We review the registrar and DNS. Pointing your domain to Shopify and transferring its registration are separate decisions.
Shopify hosts the store, not email inboxes. Mailboxes and DNS records for email are reviewed separately before anything changes.
Keep the agreed backups, exports and source access until late-order checks and your record-keeping needs are settled.
Don’t cancel Magento hosting the day the new store goes live. We agree a retention and exit plan, and access is always arranged securely—never through the public enquiry form.
Shopify isn’t always cheaper. You see both sides before you decide.
Your current payment provider and customers’ saved card details don’t move as ordinary customer fields. The Shopify provider is set up separately, so we check:
We can’t guarantee the same provider or rates on Shopify.
Costs outside our migration fee, so nothing comes as a surprise.
Migration tools and services can move common Magento records, and some providers offer managed support and testing. Where a tool suits your store, we can use it as part of the project. Our value is the coordinated solution around it: product architecture, extension decisions, the storefront, integrations and launch.
| Your question | Self-service migration tool | Migration managed by WEP |
|---|---|---|
| Who defines the scope? | You choose the records and options the tool supports. | We review your Magento setup and document what moves, what changes and who does what. |
| What happens to configurable products and bundles? | Mapped to the structure the tool supports, then checked by your team. | We agree the structure and test baskets, stock and fulfillment. |
| What replaces extensions and integrations? | Usually a separate job for you or another developer. | Each one gets a decision, a cost and an acceptance test. |
| Who plans B2B and store views? | Your team decides how they map. | We plan the structure with you before data moves. |
| Who runs the launch? | Your team coordinates final updates, the domain, redirects and checks. | We run the final update, domain switch, redirects, late-order checks and a month of free support. |
The online store migration was seamless without having 0 downtime. The staff is properly trained, well communicated and proactive Highly recommended
Web commerce pros created a really lovely design for our website. They also changed the layout for our images and updated/resized images so that the site is overall much more attractive. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from customers on the ease of use and the overall look of our site. In addition, we are very grateful to Roy for coming up with a creative solution for allowing customers to easily create their own quotes, which has been very helpful to both our operations and our customers.
Arfat and team were proficient with BigCommerce Page Builder and Shogun to create and modify pages. We successfully completed the migration with their assistance and were happy with their work. We would hire again soon for our next project.
New features, unrelated development and ongoing maintenance or marketing are scoped separately. After the first month, you can keep us for Shopify development, SEO or marketing.

Yes. We first confirm the version, edition, hosting and customizations. That tells us how the data can be accessed, which features need a Shopify solution and what the right scope is. Adobe Commerce and Open Source stores often differ, especially in B2B features.
We can assess its data and the functionality you need. An older installation may need different extraction and checking methods, because Magento 2 instructions and APIs don’t automatically apply to Magento 1.
Not automatically. The plan depends on the capabilities you need, how you operate and the complete cost. We review B2B, integrations, checkout and store structure before recommending one. A large catalog or a B2B label alone doesn’t decide it.
We identify the gap early and assess a suitable Shopify feature, app, custom development or a change in workflow. We don’t promise that every Magento requirement has an equivalent, and anything uncertain is flagged for a feasibility decision before you approve the scope.
Tools can help with the data transfer, and some providers offer human support. Our service also coordinates the feature decisions, storefront, integrations, testing and launch, and we can use a suitable tool as part of the project.
We quote after reviewing your data, product types, custom functionality, design, B2B needs, store structure and integrations. No fixed price or delivery date is promised before the review. Shopify, app, theme and payment costs are listed separately where they apply.
One month of free post-launch migration support is included within the agreed scope. To start, send your store URL, approximate catalog size and key requirements. Deeper access is arranged securely after we talk, never through the enquiry form.
Often, yes. We review the parent and child products, SKUs, valid combinations, prices, images and stock first. Some products may need a different structure, and we avoid importing every child as an unrelated product.
We look at how buyers choose items, how prices are calculated and how component stock and fulfillment work. A grouped product isn’t automatically one product with variants, and a Magento bundle isn’t automatically the same as a Shopify bundle. Neither is simply flattened.
We review the choices, customer input and charges, then agree a suitable setup. Stocked choices, paid extras, personalization and product specifications can each need a different field, option type or app.
We map the useful attributes to suitable Shopify fields and test search and filters with real products. Not every attribute should become a tag, and the theme, apps and catalog size all affect the final filter setup.
We assess the source files, access rules and customers’ existing entitlements, then agree how downloads will be delivered on Shopify. Copying the product description alone doesn’t recreate a working download.
Extension code doesn’t install on Shopify. We review what each important extension does and agree a native feature, a compatible app, scoped development or a different process, along with any data, recurring cost and test.
We assess the system, its current integration and a suitable Shopify connection. Which system owns products, stock, prices and orders is agreed explicitly, and the data flow is tested to avoid duplicate actions.
We can recreate agreed elements of your design in Shopify or build a refreshed theme. Magento themes, Hyvä templates, Page Builder layouts and modules aren’t portable, so the design is rebuilt rather than installed.
We assess company structures, buyer permissions, shared catalogs and pricing against the chosen Shopify solution. Copying customer groups alone doesn’t recreate wholesale behavior, and some Shopify B2B features depend on the plan.
These get their own workflow review. Similar feature names on both platforms don’t guarantee the same negotiation, permission or approval behavior, and native Adobe Commerce B2B features aren’t present in every Open Source store.
We plan the Shopify setup around your brands, domains, languages, prices, customers and operations. Markets, languages, catalogs and separate stores are different tools, not automatic one-to-one replacements for Magento’s websites, stores and store views.
Yes, the accessible records we agree on. We map the source website or store, customer groups and duplicates first, and we don’t merge separate customers just because their email addresses match. Account access is planned separately from the data transfer.
Existing passwords aren’t assumed to transfer. We plan the customer message around the chosen Shopify account setup, which may use email sign-in codes rather than passwords.
We agree which history your team needs and how it will appear in Shopify. Some invoices, shipments, credit memos and partial actions may be kept in an accessible archive rather than recreated as native Shopify records.
We decide which system handles fulfillment, partial shipments, returns, refunds and customer service for orders still in progress. Importing history alone doesn’t transfer those responsibilities.
We review physical quantities, quantities available to sell, reservations, backorders and open-order commitments. The plan defines Shopify locations and which system remains the source of truth for stock.
Each needs its own feasibility and reconciliation decision. Payment authorizations, recurring billing and redeemable balances aren’t recreated by importing order history, and saved card details aren’t promised to transfer.
We map the relevant URLs, including .html suffixes and store codes where you use them, and test the redirects and indexing setup. Shopify has its own URL structure and limits, so some paths change, and rankings can fluctuate after any migration.
We plan the agreed feed sources, product identifiers, landing pages and account connections. Importing the catalog doesn’t reconnect sales channels, and existing feed history and ad performance aren’t assumed to carry over unchanged.
Yes. We build Shopify separately while Magento keeps trading. The launch plan sets the final update of changing records, the cut-off and the check for orders that still reach Magento—even one.
We agree a catalog freeze or a change log. New products, deletions and changed options during the build can affect the work, the timeline and the quote.
Tell us what your business needs to keep and what you want to improve. We’ll review the setup and prepare a migration scope and quote.
