What we review, how it’s treated on BigCommerce and the main acceptance check.

| Information reviewed | Proposed treatment | Main acceptance check |
|---|---|---|
| Apps and custom functionality | Rebuilt: a BigCommerce feature, a suitable app or scoped development. A data import does not recreate platform-specific code. | The feature works the way your team expects. |
| Pricing, promotions and business rules | Rebuilt: bigCommerce features, an app or development, matched to the plan and configuration you choose. | Each buyer type sees the right products and price. |
| Balances and recurring commitments | Rebuilt or archived: reconciled balances, subscriptions or credits with an agreed treatment for each. | Value is honored once and can’t be spent twice. Subscriptions, payment credentials, gift cards and credits are assessed individually. |
| Connected systems and payments | Reconnected: agreed reconnection with a named owner for each record. | Records flow in the agreed direction and a test order completes. |
Some records import after preparation. Some features need a different implementation. Some systems are reconnected, and some history may belong in an accessible archive. What can move depends on access to the source and on what is feasible, so exceptions and additional costs are documented before you approve the scope. We don’t promise that every data type transfers from every platform.
What the feature does for your business today.
A BigCommerce feature, suitable app, integration or scoped development, with its cost and trade-offs explained.
How we test that it works the way your team expects.
Typical examples: product options, wholesale pricing, subscriptions, search, loyalty, fulfillment and accounting. We don’t promise a named app or identical behavior until we have reviewed your store.
Examples only. Your proposal maps each requirement from your own store.
| Current requirement | Proposed BigCommerce approach | Acceptance check |
|---|---|---|
| Product personalization | Suitable product options, app or development | Instructions reach the order |
| Wholesale pricing | Appropriate customer and pricing setup | Agreed buyers see the correct prices |

Explore BigCommerce design →Agreed functions and connections where a suitable app doesn’t meet the requirement.
Explore BigCommerce development →The agreed migration checks for URLs, content and metadata, with ongoing optimization as a separate service.
Your proposal separates the work. The migration, storefront work, additional development and optional ongoing services are each identified on their own, so you only pay for what you choose.
We plan and test the agreed migration SEO work, but rankings and traffic can change after a platform move. Redirect behavior depends on the source and the agreed approach, so we don’t promise unchanged traffic or full redirect coverage. See our article on SEO considerations for ecommerce migration.
Illustrative example paths only. We work from your store’s actual URLs, redirects and settings.
We review your catalog, data, features, URLs and connected systems, then write the proposal: scope, the BigCommerce setup that fits, who does what, and the quote.

Migration tools, exports and authorized APIs may help move supported records. Our managed service covers the agreed mapping, storefront, features, testing and launch work around that transfer. A free migration app does not make the complete managed project free. Timings depend on your store and are confirmed in your proposal after the review.
Prepare agreed records while your current store stays live.
Review BigCommerce privately and resolve agreed issues.
Update selected changing records, then coordinate the cut-off and the system switch.
Check activity around the switch and account for agreed missing records, even one order.
So the switch is planned, not improvised.
We don’t promise zero downtime, uninterrupted checkout or unlimited automatic synchronization. What happens during the switch is agreed with you in advance, and we don’t recommend closing the original store until the agreed checks and remaining dependencies are complete.
Company access, pricing, quantities, terms and buyer workflows.
Domains, catalogs, languages, currencies and shared operations.
Record ownership, directions of updates and tested order flow.
POS decisions, recurring obligations, digital access and unusual product behavior.
These are requirements we assess, not features included in every plan. We check each one against the appropriate BigCommerce configuration, plan, apps and implementation, and not every capability is included in every plan or migration project.
The online store migration was seamless without having 0 downtime. The staff is properly trained, well communicated and proactive Highly recommended
Web commerce pros created a really lovely design for our website. They also changed the layout for our images and updated/resized images so that the site is overall much more attractive. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from customers on the ease of use and the overall look of our site. In addition, we are very grateful to Roy for coming up with a creative solution for allowing customers to easily create their own quotes, which has been very helpful to both our operations and our customers.
Arfat and team were proficient with BigCommerce Page Builder and Shogun to create and modify pages. We successfully completed the migration with their assistance and were happy with their work. We would hire again soon for our next project.
The first two reviews are from BigCommerce migrations. The other two are from migrations to Shopify and keep their original labels. The 5.0 rating covers all of our client reviews, not only BigCommerce projects.

You see each part of the cost on its own, so nothing is hidden inside a single number. Platform plans, apps and payment-provider terms are set by their providers and change over time, so we confirm the current options during scoping. We don’t assume BigCommerce will cost more or less than your current platform.
New features and ongoing development are separate work. See our BigCommerce development and integrations services.

Typical coverage
We review the source platform, the records we can access and the functionality you need before confirming the route and scope. Send us your website address and the name of your current platform, or tell us about a custom-built store, and we will explain what can transfer, what needs rebuilding and what information we need.
Yes. We review the catalog, apps, content, customer records and integrations on the Shopify store, then agree how each part moves to BigCommerce. See our dedicated Shopify to BigCommerce migration guide for the detail.
It depends on your products, buying journeys, operations and costs. We work with both Shopify and BigCommerce, and we assess the proposed setup against what your business actually needs. BigCommerce is not automatically the right destination for every store, and we will say so if another route fits better.
Agreed products, customers, orders, content and SEO information that we can access, subject to source-platform access and how each record maps to BigCommerce. What transfers differs from one platform to another, so your proposal lists each record type and how it will be treated.
Agreed design elements can be recreated on BigCommerce. Themes and platform-specific apps or custom code generally do not carry over, so each feature needs a BigCommerce feature, a suitable app or scoped development, and an acceptance check.
We treat each one separately. Having a customer’s contact record does not mean their password or payment credentials can move. Subscriptions, stored payment methods, gift cards and store credit each need an individual assessment, and we confirm a supported method or an alternative before launch.
Where it makes sense we retain suitable URLs, map changed paths to relevant destinations and test the agreed redirects and SEO settings. A platform change can still affect rankings and traffic, so we do not promise unchanged results.
Usually. Preparation happens separately from your live store, and the final update and cutover plan is agreed around your source platform and integrations. We tell you in advance about any temporary restrictions.
We agree which system owns each changing record, how final updates are made, the cut-off time and how late activity is reconciled. We do not assume every tool supports automatic synchronization, so the method is confirmed for your store.
It depends on the scope of your store, so your proposal sets the price after the free store review. We separate our professional services from the recurring platform, app and payment-provider costs, so you can see each one on its own.
We confirm the timeline after reviewing complexity, source access, dependencies and your approval points. The time a data import takes is only one part of the project, so it is not the same as the project timeline.
Every migration includes one month of free post-launch migration support within the agreed scope. Your proposal sets out what that covers and your handover responsibilities. New features and ongoing development are separate work.
