Common vendor workload

Where does your vendor team need support?

Keep ownership of your Amazon relationship while getting hands-on help with the operational work behind it.

Purchase orders and shipment exceptions need steady attention

POs to confirm, ship windows to meet and exceptions to sort out with your warehouse. It adds up week after week.

Catalog issues and support cases take time

Attribute updates that don’t stick, content that doesn’t match, and cases that need patient follow-up until they close.

Reports, deductions and open items need follow-up

Information sits across reports and inboxes. Someone has to pull it together, track it and flag what needs a decision.

Reporting that helps you act

Know what is completed, outstanding and waiting on a decision.

A useful update shows progress, blockers and ownership. Everyone can see what’s done, what’s open, who owns each item and what happens next.
  • Completed work: what moved since the last update.
  • Open issues: what’s blocked, and why.
  • Needed from you: information or approvals, clearly listed.
  • Next actions: each one with a named owner.

Deductions and vendor economics

Read the numbers the right way

Understand deductions and margins before deciding what needs attention.

Chargebacks, shortages and deductions

  • Operational chargebacks relate to how shipments and POs meet Amazon’s requirements. They’re not the same as card chargebacks from shoppers.
  • Shortage claims and commercial deductions are different categories, with different evidence and rules.
  • Not every deduction is wrong or recoverable. Eligible disputes need the right evidence and must follow Amazon’s rules and deadlines.
  • Amazon decides the outcome of every dispute.

Amazon’s margin vs your margin

  • Net PPM is Amazon’s margin on your products, not yours.
  • Your own economics depend on your costs, allowances, deductions, freight and other expenses.
  • Purchase orders, what you ship and what Amazon sells to shoppers are three different numbers.
  • Improving one measure doesn’t automatically bring bigger purchase orders.
1P vs 3P

Web commerce pros created a really lovely design for our website. They also changed the layout for our images and updated/resized images so that the site is overall much more attractive. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from customers on the ease of use and the overall look of our site. In addition, we are very grateful to Roy for coming up with a creative solution for allowing customers to easily create their own quotes, which has been very helpful to both our operations and our customers.

Design & custom features

Webecommercepros are great web developers and good people. They moved our 1,000+ page website from our old platform to BigCommerce and did it fast and efficiently. They created all of our new artwork, 301 redirects, converted all of our products and more in record time at a very reasonable cost. We use them for all of our ongoing work like increasing load speed, updating our theme and shopping cart and site changes that we ask for. Highly recommend!

BigCommerce migration

We were in desperate need to move from Volusion to Big commerce as Volusion was not keeping up with all the available apps and Big commerce is a much user friendly platform for a small business like ours. I was really worried about the cost but found Web Ecommerce Pros and it was the best decision we made. They gave us a reasonable price, one that we could afford to do the transition from Volusion to Big Commerce and their service was outstanding. Very responsive, listened to our needs and we were able to move to Big commerce and have our website up and running with no issue. Even after a week of having our website live if there were some glitches on a link or image etc they were still helping to fix those kinks. Highly recommend. They are a very professional team. Further more I am now waiting on a quote from them to help us set up our products on Amazon.

FAQ

Amazon Vendor Central management: common questions

Plain answers about Vendor Central, our support and getting started.

Vendor Central basics

Vendor Central is the portal used by brands, manufacturers and distributors that sell wholesale to Amazon. Amazon issues purchase orders, buys the stock and sells it to shoppers. It’s invitation-only.

In Vendor Central (1P), you sell to Amazon and Amazon sets its own retail price. In Seller Central (3P), you sell directly to shoppers, set your own offer within Amazon’s policies and handle seller responsibilities like inventory and fulfillment.

Net PPM is a measure of Amazon’s own margin on your products. It isn’t your profit margin. Your margin depends on your costs, allowances, deductions, freight and other expenses.

There can be many reasons, including Amazon’s demand forecasts, inventory levels, seasonality, operational performance or commercial terms. We help you gather the information to understand what’s changed. We can’t promise a particular PO level.

No. As a vendor, you sell to Amazon at a wholesale cost, and Amazon sets its own retail price.

Your costs depend on your agreement and operating model. Review applicable allowances, funding commitments, payment terms, freight arrangements, returns and deductions. These are separate from our management fees, which are defined in your proposal.
